The John Marshall Law School is a rather small, private institution located in the city of Chicago, Illinois, and is an independent school that is not affiliated with a larger college or university. The school is home to over 1,330 graduate law students, and the average age of enrollment is around 24. As a result, it is rather rare for any students to enter the school directly from their undergraduate education. The school is perhaps best known for its strong ties to the Chicago professional and legal community, as well as for its emphasis on the practical application of legal theory.
